A door station brings the person outside together with one particular apartment inside. Pressing the bell opens picture and sound at once, and the door relay is driven only from the far end of the conversation, never from the panel. With loudspeaker and microphone in one housing, the two sides hear each other in fragments unless echo cancellation is running. Night lighting and a wide field of view make the caller genuinely visible; the housing is chosen for the weather and impact it meets.

Inside, every device registers with the PBX, and the numbering plan defines who may call whom. The outside line opens only to certain extensions, floor telephones speak among themselves and with reception, and the technical team sits in its own group. When the door station behaves like an extension, one call rings at the desk telephone, in the mobile application and at the guard post together. When the record of who opened the door shares a time axis with the access control read, the visit is documented whole.

When no one answers

The chain advances in order: if the apartment unit does not answer, the call falls to reception and from there to the guard post. The night profile sets that order differently from the start. How long each step waits, and what the last stop will be, are written in advance — a voice message, a logged notification, a mobile alert.

A PBX that keeps working in local mode when the network breaks holds the speech path open at the most critical moment. So does an emergency intercom in the lift car, sitting on a separate, continuously supervised line. With panels fed over PoE, one uninterruptible supply holds the chain from a single point. In a noisy production hall, a light indicator beside the call lets the message arrive where sound does not.
