A plant growing under glass does not wait for anyone's calendar. Temperature, humidity, light and irrigation cannot be halted even for a day, and when control lapses the loss shows up not at that moment but in the crop days later. That is the real difficulty of agricultural automation: by the time the mistake is noticed it has already become irreversible. A greenhouse behaves like a production line — screens, misting and ventilation depend on one another, and when one stops the others correct in the wrong direction.
A wet, hot and scattered site
Inside the glass, the conditions work on the equipment as steadily as on the crop. Condensation drips from the roof, fertilised water leaves salt on every surface, and the wash-down hose reaches as far as the front of the enclosure. In food production it is the transition between hygiene zones that governs the mounting detail as much as the route. On farms the distances exceed building scale; the run from a sensor to its enclosure crosses open field or the wall of a chilled space, and maintenance means driving out to every point.
The record is the product's history
In the cold chain, temperature is more than a control variable. A store or a transport vehicle records every moment the range was left, and that record has to be unbroken and unaltered when it is asked for afterwards. Measuring points are therefore duplicated, the clock source is shared, and data keeps accumulating locally even when the connection drops. Asked where the product came from, the answer is the temperature curve itself.
